South African Charcoal

We offer hardwood charcoal made from 100% Acacia Negra / Acacia Mearnsi (Black Wattle).

We have our own production with metal retort kilns. 

- fast lighting

- long duration (3 hour of strong heat, 5 hours  burn duration)

- about 6800kcal/kg; 

- it hits the maximum temperature faster then the oak or eucalyptus;

PACKAGING :

Restaurant grade is offered in printed triple-layered kraft paper bags or in printed laminated polypropylene bags with 10kg, 12kg or 15kg. The pieces are 50mm+ (we manage around 15,000kg in a 40ft HC container)

Consumer grade is offered in kraft paper bags with 5kg. The pieces are 20-49mm (we manage around 17,000kg in a 40ft HC container)
